Apple CarPlay: Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz & Volvo werden CarPlay in Genf zeigen

Per Pressemitteilung teilte Apple mit, dass aus “iOS in the Car” nun “CarPlay” geworden ist und erste Auto-Hersteller ihre Zusage gegeben haben. CarPlay wird im Rahmen des  Internationalen Automobil-Salon in Genf erstmals in Action zu sehen sein. Unter anderem werden Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz und Volvo die Integration der iPhone-Apps in ihren Fahrzeugen zeigen.

Weitere Partner sind im Übrigen BMW, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Subaru, Suzuki und Toyota. CarPlay wird es als Update von iOS 7 geben. Unterstützte iOS-Geräte sind das iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c und iPhone 5. Noch in diesem Jahr sollen die ersten Automodelle mit Apple CarPlay ausgeliefert werden.

Vehicles from Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo will premiere CarPlay to their drivers this week, while additional auto manufacturers bringing CarPlay to their drivers down the road include BMW Group, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai Motor Company, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia Motors, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan Motor Company, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota Motor Corp.
