Reeder 2: Beta-Phase vorbei – Neue Version im Mac App Store verfügbar

Die beliebte RSS App “Reeder” ist nun als neue Version verfügbar. In den letzten Wochen konnte man die neuen Änderungen in einem offenen Beta-Programm austesten. Ab sofort steht die 2. Version im Mac App Store zum Download bereit.

Die Beta-Phase ist vorbei. Wer sich die App zugelegt hat, kann problemlos updaten. Wer Reeder 2 noch nicht kennt oder noch nicht erworben hat, kann dies nun tun – 8.99 € für Mac (MAS-Link) und 4.99 € für iOS. Auch die iOS-Version hat ein entsprechendes Update auf Version 2 bekommen, die nun auch Hintergrundaktualisierungen ermöglicht. Nachfolgend noch die Neuerungen.

Was ist neu?

• Background app refresh (per account setting, disabled by default)
• Loading progress indicator for the in-app browser
• Smart streams now also support grouping by feed or date
• New setting to disable favicons for subscriptions/article list (see Settings → General)
• Reeder now can handle feed links (feed://) from external apps
• Added navigation pan (right/left) to toolbars and empty spaces in list views (in addition to the left and right screen edges)
• Added a drag handle to the browser toolbar to make it clearer that you can slide right/left to go back/forward
